A co worker gave me this recipe a number of years ago. These are certainly kid oriented. Cute as a button and very tasty. Amounts of icing sugar, wafer cookies will depend on how many cookies you wish to make.

Ingredients For hamburger cookies

christies vanilla wafers (round kind)

yellow foodcoloring (make to match the color of mustard)

green food coloring (make to match the color of relish)

icing sugar
-
peppermint patties (small pepermint patties)

egg white
-
sesame seeds
How To Make hamburger cookies

1Mix icing sugar and yellow food coloring in a bowl Set aside

2Mix icing sugar and green food coloring in a bowl Set Aside

3Spread yellow icing on flat side of vanilla wafer

4Spread the green icing on the flat side of the second wafer
-
5Place a peppermint patty between the 2 vanilla wafers and press together
-
6With a pastry brush, brush the top of the wafer with the beaten egg white

7Sprinkle lightly with sesame seeds
-
8Store in covered container in the refrigerator

9N.B. Amounts of sugar etc depends on how many cookies you want to make. I would start with 1/2 cup of icing sugar. Add enough food coloring to match the color of mustard and relish
