Another old recipe book uncovered at an auction. This one dates back to 1957 it's an old Presbyterian Church cookbook. You can never beat the ladies cooking at a church potluck.

Ingredients For candied cranberries

4 ccranberries (1quart)

1/4 tspsalt

1/4 tspbaking soda
-
2 csugar
-
1 cwater
How To Make candied cranberries

1Wash berries and drain on a towel so all water is removed.

2Boil sugar and water 3 minutes, then drop in berries, soda and salt. From the time berries begin boiling, boil 15 minutes.

3Shake kettle occasionally. DO NOT REMOVE COVER UNTIL BERRIES ARE COLD!!!!!! NOTE: The secret of this recipe is not to remove cover until the berries are cold.
