Of course you can adjust to taste but we love it just the way it is =) this is a family recipe that is given out every year at Christmas for sure and through out the year by whoever wants to make it up. We never can keep enough of it and its funny how hard we all try too. We keep thinking we will get tired of it but its a great snake all year round. Enjoy (if serving kids with may want to omit the hot in this recipe, however our kids liked it just fine)

Ingredients For nuts and bolts

  • 1 box
    cherrios
  • 1 box
    rice chex
  • 1 large bag
    thin pretzels
  • 1 lb bag
    peanuts
  • 1 lb bag
    pecans
  • 1 large bag
    cashews, salted
  • 1 large bag
    almonds
  • 3/4 c
    bacon drippings
  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 3 Tbsp
    tabasco
  • 2 Tbsp
    worchester
  • 3 Tbsp
    garlic salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    celery salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    cayenne pepper

How To Make nuts and bolts

    Heat sauce ingredients and mix well let sit 2 or more hours. Mix cereals and nuts in pan pour on sauce mix well Bake @ 300 20 minutes stir every five minutes Store in airtight container
