fire crackers
(1 rating)
I am so tired of store bought crackers, that I started looking for new ideas. I came across this recipe to "doctor" up saltines on Food.com. I changed it a little, and now I have the perfect cracker to serve with cheese and pepperoni. Goes well with dips, also. Enjoy!! My photos

Ingredients For fire crackers
-
1 lbsaltine crackers (4 sleeves)
-
1 cvegetable oil
-
1(1 ounce) packet ranch dressing mix
-
2 Tbspcrushed red pepper flakes (i used 1 tsp.) or to taste
-
1/2 tspgarlic powder
How To Make fire crackers
-
1Line crackers on ends (like dominoes) in an air-tight container.
-
2In a small bowl, mix oil, dressing mix, red pepper, and garlic powder.
-
3Stir until all ingredients are well mixed. Continue to stir to prevent the pepper from settling to the bottom of the bowl.
-
4Spoon mixture evenly over crackers, like drizzling icing on a cake.
-
5Close lid tightly and flip the container over every 5 minutes for about 20 minutes. Lightly shake back and forth to make sure all the crackers are coated.
-
6Store in a ziplock bag. Will keep for about a week - if they last that long.
