We love munching on puppy chow (made with Chex cereal) and poppy chow (made with popcorn). This is even BETTER! Not to mention, very easy to make. It would be a perfect snack to make and take to any parties for this big football game thing that I keep hearing about that is coming up on Sunday :)

Ingredients For puffy chow

  • 1 pkg
    puffed corn
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 1 pkg
    chocolate chips
  • 1 c
    peanut butter, creamy
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 2 1/2 c
    powdered sugar

How To Make puffy chow

    Pour puffed corn into a large bowl. *Puffed corn can be found at most grocery stores in the chip aisle. Get butter flavor...not cheddar. I used Seyfert's brand but do a Google image search for puffed corn to find other types.

    Empty package of chocolate chips into a microwave safe bowl. Cut stick of butter into approximately tablespoon size pieces and add to the bowl with the chocolate chips. Melt in microwave.

    Stir peanut butter and vanilla into the melted chocolate/butter mixture. Pour over bowl of puffed corn. Stir gently until evenly coated then add powdered sugar and stir again.

    Pour mixture onto cookie sheet to cool. Place in a cool area or refrigerate until chocolate is set.
