My Grandma used to make this for us each Christmas when she still cooked. She would present it in really cute containers. I'm so glad she gave me the recipe.

Ingredients For christmas popcorn

  • 4 qt
    popcorn, popped
  • 1 c
    butter
  • 1 1/3 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    light karo syrup
  • 2 c
    walnuts or pecans, chopped
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla

How To Make christmas popcorn

  • 1
    Combine butter, sugar, and syrup in saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Stirring frequently until temperature reaches 250 degrees (use a candy thermometer). Remove from heat. Add vanilla.

    Pour mixture over popcorn and nuts. Stir with spoon. Layout on cookie sheet until cool.
