This is a family and friends favorite, On Sundays me and a few friends get together and play cards, and we always have the caramel corn to snack on, and if I don't make it the girls will not play until I do, I test them once in awhile to see if I can get by with out making it but it hasn't worked yet.

Ingredients For caramel popcorn

  • 1 c
    butter
  • 2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 c
    corn syrup, light
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 5 qt
    popcorn, popped

How To Make caramel popcorn

  • 1
    in a medium pan, melt butter with brown sugar, corn syrup and salt, bring to a boil and let boil for about one minute, take off stove and add soda, stir quickly and then pour over the popped corn, stir well. ENJOY
