Really, the seasonings are just a suggestion. Use any combination of seasonings that you want. I often use Pampered Chef Rosemary Herb or Kinders Italian Chop House seasoning blends.

Ingredients For seasoned croutons

  • 6 slice
    stale bread
  • 4 Tbsp
    unsalted butter
  • dash
    lawrey's salt
  • dash
    garlic salt
  • dash
    lemon pepper
  • dash
    crushed red pepper

How To Make seasoned croutons

  • 1
    Cut the bread into crouton-sized cubes. Melt the butter in a skillet large enough to hold the bread in a single layer. Add seasonings and stir to combine.

    Add bread cubes all at once and stir to coat evenly. Spread on a cookie sheet in a single layer.

    Bake for 10 minutes. Turn off heat and leave in the oven for 2 hours. Cool and store in an airtight container.
