rose's all-time favorite quickie donuts
(1 rating)
This was a favorite treat for my kids when they came home from school. It is so quick and easy. I had not made this recipe in probably 40 years and decided to test it out. Make these small, about 1/2 tablespoon each as they do grow on frying. Find your favorite ratio of cinnamon/sugar. I used two tablespoons cinnamon to 1/2 cup sugar - too much cinnamon! This recipe is so special to me because it brings back memories of the kids piling in from school and they could smell that mom had made donuts. It quickly became a neighborhood favorite.

How To Make rose's all-time favorite quickie donuts
-
1Put all ingredients in a medium size bowl. Mix well.
-
2Heat about a cup or two of oil to 350 degrees. Use a tablespoon, always dipped in hot oil, first to scoop up only about a generous half-tablespoon for I think the best size, and put into the preheated oil..
-
3Fry until browned, about 3 to 5 minutes. While warm, roll the donuts into cinnamon sugar or plain sugar. I put the sugar mixture in a brown paper bag and shook a few at a time.
