My husband and I just started working out. I needed a less expensive protein bar.

Ingredients For protein bars

  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    white corn syrup
  • 3/4 c
    peanut butter, crunchy
  • 3 c
    special k or rice crispies cereal
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla

How To Make protein bars

    PROTEIN BARS Boil sugar and syrup until sugar dissolves. Add vanilla and peanut butter. Stir until melted. Add cereal. Put in buttered 9-inch pan. DON'T BAKE! Sprinkle 1 package butterscotch chips and 1/s package chocolate chips over top. Place under broiler for just a few seconds. Spread, cool, and cut.
