These have become a favorite Christmas cookie here, rolled in red/green and white sprinkles. They are also good for Halloween, rolled in orange and black sprinkles. They are a soft sugar cookie, not good for mailing; but great for eating!

How To Make orange-kist cookies

1Cream butter and sugar together

2ADD; 1 egg and vanilla extract, zest of large orange. Beat until well combined.

3Sift together the dry ingredients. Add them slowly to the wet ingredients.

4Roll dough into 1.5 inch balls. Roll balls of dough in the sprinkles or colored sugar.

5Bake at 350* for 10-12 minutes. Cool cookies on cookie sheet for 5 minutes before removing. Remove to rack.
