"no vampires" garlic roasted pumpkin seeds
(4 ratings)
This is what I look forward to every fall/Halloween! It's my once a year treat/guilty pleasure! This is the ONLY way I'll eat my roasted pumpkin seeds. But, you either love them or you hate them. I had a friend who couldn't make up her mind if she liked them or not. In the process, she almost ate them all! I think she liked them!!!

How To Make "no vampires" garlic roasted pumpkin seeds
-
1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
-
2Gut out pumpkins putting the seeds in a large bowl. It's ok if you get that gookie orange goop with it - it adds flavor.
-
3Rinse seeds (& goop).
-
4Roll out seeds onto baking sheet & spread out evenly.
-
5Cut butter into tbsp chunks & place in random areas all over seeds.
-
6Load it totally with garlic salt &/or garlic powder (I do both). NOTE: You'll know if you've done this right when it's cooking. If you did it right...your eyes should be burning/watering from all the garlic.
-
7Bake for 30 minutes; stir. Bake another 30 minutes; stir. Bake another 15 minutes; stir. Bake another 15 minutes (they should be done at this point). Keep doing this until seed turn a light to medium brown (like the photo or little darker).
-
8Once done, let cool for 30 minutes & then enjoy!
