italian-style stuffed mushrooms
I realize there are about a gazillion recipes for this tasty side dish or appetizer, and we all have our favorites. This one is mine, and I really think you'll like it too! It's easy to prepare and usually disappears within minutes of serving them.

Ingredients For italian-style stuffed mushrooms

1 lb.large mushrooms

1/4 colive oil, extra virgin

1/4 conion, minced

1 clovegarlic, minced

1/2 cdry breadcrumbs

1/4 cmozzarella cheese, shredded

2 Tbspparmigiano-reggiano, grated

1egg
-
1-2 tspdried parsley
-
1/8 tspdried oregano
-
salt and pepper to taste

butter
How To Make italian-style stuffed mushrooms

1Preheat oven to 350'F.

2Clean mushrooms; remove stems and reserve.

3Chop stems to make 1/2 cup; sauté with onion and garlic, adding more oil if necessary. Simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, parsley, oregano, salt & pepper.

4Spoon the mixture into mushroom caps. Dot with butter.

5Bake for 20-25 minutes.
