My husband wants me to make them for him all the time. I did use turkey franks one time to make them a little more healthy.

Ingredients For homemade corn dogs

1 call-purpose flour

2/3 cyellow cornmeal
-
2 Tbspsugar

1 1/2 tspbaking powder

1salt
-
2vegetable oil
-
1egg, beaten
-
3/4 cmilk
-
1 pkghot dogs
-
3/4 call-purpose flour in separate shallow bowl
How To Make homemade corn dogs

1Heat oil in deep fryer to 375 degrees

2In mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cornmeal, baking powder, And salt.

3In small bowl, mix eggs, milk and oil.

4Add wet ingredients to dry; mix well.

5Roll hotdog in flour in shallow bowl.

6Coat hotdogs with batter and drop in hot oil. (If batter becomes too thick, add 1-2 T. of milk)

7Arrange 3 at a time in oil; turn halfway thru cooking time until evenly browned. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
