Grandma made these every year. There was always an open container of these in her refrigerator for us to snack on.

Ingredients For grandma carr’s easy freezer pickles

  • PART 1:
  • 1 c
    vinegar
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    celery seed
  • 1/2 tsp
    mustard seed
  • PART 2:
  • 7 c
    sliced cucumbers, unpeeled
  • 1 c
    onions, sliced thin
  • 1 c
    green pepper, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp
    salt (pickling or canning salt)

How To Make grandma carr’s easy freezer pickles

    Mix Part 1. Bring to a boil. Let cool.

    Mix Part 2 and let sit at room temperature on counter for 2 hours. Drain.

    Pour Part 1 over drained cucumber mixture. Let sit in refrigerator 2 or 3 days. Freeze in small butter tubs or any small plastic containers.
