easy no-bake granola bars

Our family loves Granola Bars! So here is my version. Hope you enjoy them as much as we do!

Ingredients For easy no-bake granola bars

  • 3 c
    rice krispies cereal (may also use coco krispies)
  • 2 c
    grape nuts cereal (or another wheat & barley)
  • 4 c
    quick cooking oats, uncooked
  • 1/2 c
    coconut, flaked, or shredded
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon, ground (heaping if you like more)
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 c
    light corn syrup
  • 1 c
    peanut butter, (creamy) or almond butter
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 c
    milk chocolate chips
  • 1 c
    healthy nut mixture, sunflower seeds, peanuts, pumpkin seeds, cashews or what you perfer

How To Make easy no-bake granola bars

  • 1
    Mix the first 5 ingredients into a extra large bowl.

    Bring brown sugar and light corn syrup to a boil for 2 minutes, remove from heat, add the vanilla and peanut butter and stir well until all is blended.

    Pour brown sugar mixture into dry Cereal and Oats mixture. Stir quickly as it gets more gooey as it cools. Wait about 2-3 minutes, then add the chocolate chips and nuts....coat well.

    Using a 12X18 jelly roll pan, dump Granola mixture into buttered (or no stick spray)pan. You can use Wax Paper or a good plastic spoon/spatula for pressing Granola into prepared pan evenly. Put in fridge to firm up a bit, then cut into your desired pieces. These are absolutely scrumptious....Enjoy!
