I like to make this for Christmas parties. You can make this up and refrigerate overnight.

Some cranberry chutney recipes have tons of steps. But this one couldn't be easier and is incredibly delicious. It has a mix of tart cranberries, sweet apples, and rich dried figs that make a beautiful fruit combination. Tossed with a little brown sugar and spices, every bite has the flavors of the holidays. Serve alongside turkey, pour over cream cheese for a holiday appetizer or put it in a jar and give as a hostess gift. There are tons of ways to enjoy this delicious chutney.

Ingredients For cranberry chutney

  • 1 can
    whole berry cranberry sauce, 16 ounce
  • 6-8
    dried figs; coarsely chopped
  • 1
    apple; peeled, cored and coarsely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp
    each of ginger, allspice and curry powder
  • 2 Tbsp
    apple cider vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1 box
    cream cheese, 8 ounce
  • crackers

How To Make cranberry chutney

  • Apples, cranberry sauce, figs, sugar and spices in a bowl.

    Combine all ingredients (except cream cheese and crackers) in a medium bowl and stir.
  • Ingredients after they have chilled.

    Chill for 2 hours or overnight.
  • Chutney poured over cream cheese.

    Serve in a dish with cream cheese on bottom of the dish, then pour chutney over cream cheese and serve as a dip with crackers.
  • Cranberry chutney in a bowl.

    You can also serve at room temperature. Great to jar and give as a gift around the holidays.
