With our Pecan trees giving us a bumper crop, I always have people ask how can you Roast and Salt Pecans for a keep around snack. THIS IS IT!

Ingredients For toasted pecans

  • 2 oz
    butter
  • 8 oz
    pecans, halved
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt

How To Make toasted pecans

  • 1
    Preheat oven 350.
  • 2
    Melt butter in saucepan.
  • 3
    Stir pecans in melted butter until they are thoroughly coated.
  • 4
    Spread pecans on a cookie sheet. Bake 15 to 20 minutes in 350 oven until lightly toasted, stirring once.

    Remove from oven.
  • 6
    Sprinkle lightly with salt.
  • 7
    Let cool and serve.

    Store in airtight container.

    Yields 1/2 pounds.
