This recipe was given to my Mother from a dear, sweet family friend named Pauline. I make it at Christmas time to give to my neighbors and friends. They all love it and even request it. It is such a delicious snack!

Ingredients For pauline's cracker jacks
- COMBINE IN A LARGE PAN

7 qtpopcorn, popped

1 1/2 cpeanuts

1-2 cpecans
- IN A SAUCEPAN COMBINE

1 clight brown sugar
-
1 cdark brown sugar
-
1 cwhite karo syrup
-
2 stickbutter or margarine
-
1 tspsalt
- COOK UNTIL IT COMES TO A BUBBLING BOIL (SIMMER TYPE). SET OFF STOVE AND ADD

1 tspvanilla flavor
- PUT BACK ON STOVE AND ADD

1/2 tspsoda

1Then beat with a wire whisk until it foams. Pour over the popcorn and nuts and stir until coated. Put in a large greased pan. (I spray with PAM). Cook for 1 hour at 250 degrees. Stir every 15 minutes while baking.

2Store in an airtight container. Note: This recipe may sound complicated but it is really easy to make and so delicious! I'll try to add a picture later.
