I do not know why this is called a "MILLION DOLLAR FUDGE" ?? Maybe because... She did look like a million dollars, in her beautiful 1993 inaugural gown. A Pink Peaude Soie, embrodered and studded 2,ooo rhinestones! Back to the fudge..I have not made it but I have heard it is very good. I am enclosing a foto of my inuagual gown at, the Clintons first innaugration 1n 1993! Yep...I was invited. I had a ball. A crushed ball to be sure...LOL But a ball!! 20 years ago. Nancy...1/21/13

1tall can evaporated milk.......(tall ?)

12 ozsemi-sweet chocolate bits
-
12 ozsweet chocolate
-
1 ptmarshmellow creme
-
2 cnutmeats
-
1 pinchsalt
How To Make mamie's million dollar fudge

1Boil the sugar,salt,butter and evaporated milk all together for 6 minutes. Put chocolate bits and sweet chocolate, marshmallow creme, and nutmeats in a bowl. Pour the boiling syrup over ingredients. Recipe from an old church cookbook. Beat till melted, then pour into a buttered pan. Let stand a few hours before cutting. Put in refrigerator to harde. Remember it is better ..the next day. Store in a tin box.

3**** FUDGE NOTE: After checking this recipe out on the internet. It seems it is the makers of " FLUFF" that introduced this fudge recipe."MILLION DOLLAR FUDGE". It was an Eisenhower family favorite recipe. That Mamie toke to WASH, with her! SO..problem solved.....1/22/13
