These boiled peanuts are a great game day snack and can be cooked ahead of time and reheated in the microwave or the Crock Pot. We are huge ALABAMA fans and these would be perfect for tailgating!

Blue Ribbon Recipe

You can't go wrong serving this Southern staple at any tailgate. The nuts are cooked to perfection with a nice salty and spicy blend. Grab one handful and you won't be able to stop snacking!

Ingredients For game day boiled peanuts

  • 24 oz
    raw peanuts in shell
  • 1/2 c
    salt
  • 4 tsp
    red pepper flakes
  • 2 tsp
    Cajun seasoning
  • water

How To Make game day boiled peanuts

  • 1
Mix seasonings with 4 cups hot water until salt is dissolved in Cock Pot. Add the raw peanuts in the shell to the mixture and fill the Crock Pot to full with hot water.
  • 2
Cook 24 hours on high, check the peanuts to see that they are soft, and then on low for 24 hours (this is not a typo - 48 hours total allows them to soften and absorb the seasonings), keeping an eye on your water level. You will need to check your peanuts and adjust the time accordingly because all Crock Pots heat differently. I fill the crockpot with water every 8-10 hours to keep the water level full.
