There is a slight crunch from the Rice Krispies that makes these crackers a little interesting and different from other recipes. If you like things a little spicy, add more cayenne pepper.

Ingredients For cheddar wafers

1 stickbutter, softened

8 ozcheddar cheese, shredded

1 call-purpose flour
-
1 cRice Krispies, crushed slightly

1/8 - 1/4 tspcayenne pepper

1 pinchsalt
How To Make cheddar wafers

1Mix the flour, salt, and cayenne. Use a fork and cut in the softened butter.

2Mix in the shredded cheese and Rice Krispies. This will be dry and crumbly.

3Scoop out about 1 Tbsp of the mix. Use the warmth from your hands to form balls and then slightly flatten them on a cookie sheet.

4Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes. Let cool slightly, then transfer to a cooling rack.
