I have never taken this appetizer ANYWHERE without it disappearing, usually with several requests for the recipe. I found it in a Quick Cooking magazine years ago, decided to try it, then ended up with my husband making it. He didn't follow the instructions at all, but it turned out better, so I've included alternative directions, too.

16 ozcream cheese, softened

12 ozchili sauce

6 ozcanadian bacon, chopped

1 smonion, chopped

1 smgreen pepper, chopped

3/4 cshredded mozzarella cheese

3/4 cshredded cheddar cheese

scoop-style corn chips

1***Alternative directions: Mix all but the corn chips together. It looks like slop, but doing it the pretty way is nearly impossible to eat -- the corn chips break before you can get a proper scoop. It's also not as tasty.***

2Spread cream cheese on an ungreased 12" pizza pan. Spread with chili sauce. Sprinkle with Canadian bacon, onion, green pepper, and cheeses. Serve with chips.
