These are so easy to make and are much better for you than store bought potato,corn or tortilla chips. And they taste better (to us) We have a wonderful greek bakery here where we buy our pita bread dirt cheap. Even if you buy in regular grocery store, these are much cheaper than commercial chips.

  • small pita bread
  • olive oil cooking spray
  • sea salt (optional)
  • sesame seeds (optional)

How To Make homemade pita chips by sallye

    Preheat oven to 350º Line baking sheet with parchment paper (optional)

    Separate as many pita bread slices as you wish (I usually do 4 at a time - 8 halves) Cut each half into 6 pie shaped wedges and place on baking sheet in a single layer Spray with cooking spray

    Sprinkle salt and sesame seeds over wedges, making sure the salt and seeds adhere (use a little more spray if necessary but don't overspray)

    Cook for 10+ minutes until chips are golden brown Transfer to cooling rack. When cool, if not using right away, store in ziplock bag or covered container.
