I know the name is strange,[originally titled ALPO/] but that was the only name I had heard from our circle of friends from church who introduced it to us and shared the recipe. Any party or get-together with these friends is guaranteed to include a crockpot of ALPO. Unfortunately on the way to one winter party a couple skidded on slick roads and their crockpot tipped over on the floor in the back seat and deposited a pile of ALPO ONTO THE car's carpet. You can imagine the result once the weather warmed up. But we all still make and transport it to events

Ingredients For don's loaded velveeta tortilla dip

  • 1 lb
    each gtound beff and/or italian sausage of your desired hotness
  • 1-16 oz. jar
    salsa of your desired hotness
  • 1 lb
    velveta cheese cubed
  • 1-2 bag
    tortilla or nacho chips
  • 1 c
    sweet onion diced

How To Make don's loaded velveeta tortilla dip

    BROWN GROUND BEEF & sausage with ONION, BREAKING UP WITH POTATO MASHER. DRAIN AND PLACE INTO CROCK POT. Add Velveeta cheese to crock pot and turn to HI. Cover and HEAT until cheese is melted. STIR until all ingredients are combined. STIR IN SALSA AND TURN CROCK POT TO LOW. With crock pot covered, keep ALPO WARM UNTIL PARTY TIME, STIRRING OCCASIONALLY. SERVE in plogged -in CROCK pot on low placed next to bowl of chips;; ALLOW GUEST TO SERVE THEMSELVES; SPOONING ALPO over chips. Stir ALPO OCCASIONALLY SO FILM DOESN'T FORM ON SURFACE.
