INGREDIENTS
1 lb. smoked jalapeno sausage, sliced into 1/2 inch on the diagonal
1 pack of thick cut bacon, diced
1 tsp. creole seasoning
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 bell pepper, diced
1/2 red onion, diced
1 stalk celery, diced
1 fresh jalapeno (seeded), diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup diced green onions
extra virgin olive oil
cooked grits (recipe below)
For the Grits
1 c. grits
1 stick butter
1 c. heavy cream
2 c. chicken broth
1 c. water
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. creole seasoning
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. onion powder
1/2 c. jack cheese, grated
1/2 c. sharp cheddar cheese
