INGREDIENTS
Barbecue Rub, see note below
4 ribs celery, trimmed to fit slow cooker
2 onions, halved
3 pieces citrus, halved (oranges, lemon or limes, to taste)
1 beef brisket (4 to 5 pounds) trimmed
1 cup each: apple juice, water
3 tablespoons Worchestershire sauce
2 cups Kansas City-style barbecue sauce such as Gates
