2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup

1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix
•
3 C cups beef broth -enough to cover roast
•
5 pounds pot roast (I use Chuck roast)
•
potatoes, quartered
•
carrots, thickly sliced or quarter the whole carrot
•
onion -roughly chopped
•
1/2 of a package dry ranch dressing (optional)
