1- 1/2 pounds potatoes, 1-inch dice
2 medium onions, 1-inch dice
3 medium carrots, 1-inch chop
3 stalks celery, 1-inch chop
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 bay leaf
3 sprigs fresh rosemary
6 sprigs fresh thyme
2 to 2- 1/2 pounds beef stew meat, 2-inch cubes
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/3 cup all-purpose flour, for dredging
1 cup red wine
3 cups beef broth
1 – 14.5-ounce can diced tomatoes
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
