This is a simple and easy appetizer. I love the colors on a platter. I also make these with egg salad made the same way... or crab salad... the possibilities are endless!

Ingredients For tuna tomatoes

  • TUNA FILLING
  • 1 can
    (5 -7 ounces) white tuna in water
  • 2 stick
    green onoions (minced fine)
  • 1 stick
    celery, (minced fine)
  • 1 Tbsp
    sweet pickle relish
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp
    mayonnaise (more if needed)
  • TOMATOES
  • 40 - 50 md
    cherry tomatoes (tops removed, hollowed out to hold filling)

How To Make tuna tomatoes

  • 1
    Mix together the filling ingredients.
  • 2
    Prepare the cherry tomatoes by cutting the tops off, and scooping out the centers of the tomatoes (freeze the scooped out tomato to add to a differnt recipe).

    Put the filling into the prepared cherry tomatoes, and put the lids back on top on an angle.
