This is a recipe from a dear friend. I have had this dish at her house many time and it is delish!

Ingredients For tomato pie

  • 1 pkg
    pre-baked pie shell
  • 4 md
    tomatoes peeled, sliced, drained
  • 10
    fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 1/4 c
    chopped onion
  • 1 c
    shredded mozarella cheese
  • 1 c
    mayonnaise
  • 1/4 c
    parmesan cheese
  • salt & pepper

How To Make tomato pie

    Bake pie shell.
  • 2
    Peel and slice tomatoes. Drain in colander for 10 minutes.

    Layer tomatoes, basil and onion in pre-baked pie shell. Season with salt and pepper.

    Combine mayonnaise and mozarella and parmesan cheeses. Spread over tomatoes.

    Bake at 350 degrees until browned 30-35 minutes.
