Ingredients For tomato pie

4med. tomatoes, peeled and cut into 1/2 "' slices

1/2 tspsalt

1/2 cmayonnaise
-
2 Tbspfresh chopped basil
-
1 cmozzarela cheese, shredded or can use parmesan cheese

1pastry pie shell
How To Make tomato pie

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place tomatoes in a single layer on paper towels and sprinkle with the salt. Let stand 30 min and pat dry with paper towels. Stir together mayonnaise, basil and 3/4 c. of the cheese. Bake pie shell until lightly browned. Sprinkle remaining 1/4 c. of cheese on bottom of pie crust when you remove it from the oven. Arrange tomato slices over cheese and spread mayonnaise mixture over tomatoes. Bake 34-35 min. Let cool 5 min. before serving.
