A family favorite for potlucks and summer gatherings. Great for picnic's, BBQ's and travels well. This recipe has been in my family for 50 years and we are still making it! Choose your favorite variation of beans that suits your family, it is a hit every time.

Ingredients For three bean salad

  • 1 can
    15-16 oz green beans, drained
  • 1 can
    15-16 oz garbanzos, drained
  • 1 can
    15-16 oz kidney beans, drained
  • 1 c
    sweet onion, or purple onion
  • 1/2 c
    apple cider vinegar
  • 1/3 c
    vegetable oil
  • 1/2 c
    white sugar
  • 1 tsp
    salt and pepper

How To Make three bean salad

  • 1
    Rinse and drain beans; Combine, vinegar, sugar, oil, salt and pepper, stir until sugar dissolves. Finely dice onion and combine with beans. Pour sugar mixture over beans, toss and chill for at least 4 hours. Toss before serving. Enjoy.
