Ingredients For stir fried bok choy

1 Tbspsesame seeds

1 Tbspcanola oil

1 Tbspgrated fresh ginger

1medium onion chopped

11 large head bok choy (see notes)

2 clovegarlic minced

1/4 tspcrushed red pepper (to taste)

1 Tbspsoy sauce
How To Make stir fried bok choy

1Toast the sesame seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat until light browned; approximately 2-3 minutes. Toss or stir frequently to keep from burning. Remove and place in a small bowl.

2Heat canola oil in the same skillet over medium high heat. Add the ginger, onion and bok choy. Cook for 2-3 minutes stirring frequently. Add the garlic, red pepper and soy sauce and cook for additional 1 minute. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and serve immediately.

3NOTES Remove the bottom 2 inches of the thick bulb. Chop the bok choy and rinse thoroughly in a colander. Shake as much of the water out as possible. Dry excess water with a paper towel. See more notes under How do you prepare bok choy for cooking?
