Many years ago, someone in the family collected recipes from descendants of my great grandparents, William M. and Florence E. (Snodgrass) Whaley and had them compiled into a cookbook. I am posting those recipes here so that they will not be lost. This recipe was submitted by Carolyn Palmer.

Ingredients For squash casserole

  • 6 to 8 md
    squash, cooked
  • chopped onion, optional, as much as you like
  • 1 pkg
    corn bread mix
  • 1 c
    cream of chicken soup
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • shredded cheddar cheese, optional

How To Make squash casserole

  • 1
    Mix all ingredients together. Put in greased baking dish.

    Bake at 350°F. for 25 to 30 minutes.
