Ingredients For spinach pie

2 Tbsponion

1 lbfresh mushrooms

2 Tbspbutter

2 lbfresh spinach..or 3 pks frozen

1 tspsalt
-
1/8 tsppepper
-
pinch pinchfreshly grated nutmeg
-
8 ozswiss cheese, grated..
-
3eggs
-
1 1/2 cheavy cream, cold

2pastry shells
How To Make spinach pie

1Bake Shells in 375 (OVEN) 5-10 minutes, until brown.In frying pan brown onion in butter. put mushrooms in and saute.Add spinach,salt and pepper,nutmeg, until tender...DRAIN excess water...In LARGE bowl, add 3 eggs scrambles, heavey cream,swiss cheese,(save a little cheese for TOP).to this mixture add the spinach mixture and mix well..Put in baked pie shells.top with left over swiss cheese.BAKE 375 25-30 MIN..makes 2 pie's...we enjoy it..and leftover's are great,if there r any Left..
