Ingredients For spicy okra

4 cokra, trimmed and split lengthwise (seeded if necessary)

1/4 cvegetable oil

1 1/2 cred onion, minced

2 ctomatoes, peeled, seeded and chopped (canned tomatoes will work)

2 tspfresh garlic, minced
-
2 tspfresh ginger, minced
-
1/2 tspground cardamom
-
2jalapenos, seeded and minced (or pepper of your choice)
How To Make spicy okra

1In a medium saucepan, heat oil. Cook onions until lightly browned.

2Add tomatoes and bring to a boil.

3Lower heat and stir in garlic, ginger, and cardamom. Add the okra and cooked, uncovered, for 20 minutes (or to taste). Add chilies and cook 5 additional minutes.
