Even my husband, who hates cooked carrots asks me to make these often. I've also thrown in 6-8 sliced white mushrooms.

Ingredients For spicy carrots

2 Tbspbrown sugar

1/4 cbutter

5 lgcarrots, peeled and cut into disks

1 clovegarlic (largest one)

3-4 dashtabasco sauce

1 1/2 tspemeril's essence (i don't actually measure this one, i go by taste)

1/2 mdred onion
How To Make spicy carrots

1Melt butter with brown sugar and garlic.

2Add carrots, cover and cook on low 5-8 minutes

3Add onion. Cook until moisture disappears or when the carrots are crisp-tender.
