1large head cabbage, coarsley chopped

How To Make smothered cabbage

1In a large heavy pot, cook onions and ham in oil over medium heat, until the onions are wilted, about 5 minutes. Add cabbage, water, sugar, cayenne, salt and pepper. Cover pot and cook, stirring occasionally about 30 minutes, or until the cabbage is soft and tender.
