Two great cooks from our church back in NY would bring this vegetable dish to family dinners on Wednesday nights. I don't think the dishes ever went home with anything in them. What a great way to eat spinach when fresh wasn't in season, and we didn't have many fresh vegetables that were not in season in those days.

Ingredients For serbian spinach

2 lbcottage cheese, large curd

6 lgeggs

1 tsporegano, dried

1/2 tspkosher salt

1 stickbutter, sliced

2 boxfrozen, chopped spinach, thawed and well drained

1 pkgold english cheese slices, cut into small pieces
How To Make serbian spinach

1Mix all ingredients together. Place in a greased casserole dish. bake at 350-degrees for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
