I love love love cabbage. I'd been thinking of this recipe for awhile and finally decided to try it & everybody loved it.

Ingredients For scalloped cabbage

  • 1 lg
    head of cabbage, sliced roughly
  • 1 lg
    onion, sliced
  • 1/2 box
    velveeta cheese (regular size box)
  • 2 c
    shredded cheddar
  • 1 c
    milk
  • salt & pepper to taste

How To Make scalloped cabbage

    Boil cabbage till just slightly tender & drain well.

    Add cabbage & onion to 9x13 pan. Cube Velveeta and distribute by kind of poking down into the cabbage & onions.

    Season with salt & pepper. Pour milk over cabbage then cover with shredded cheddar.

    Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees till cabbage is tender. I like to remove the foil and let the cheese brown a bit also.

    Let stand to cool, thicken & serve.
