romanesco saute
I bought this interesting looking vegetable at a local farmers' market. It is in the same family as cauliflower and broccoli. So you could substitute either one if more readily available. But it's so darn cute!

Ingredients For romanesco saute

2 Tbspolive oil

1 smhead romanesco, cut into florets

1/2 mdonion, cut into chunks
-
2-3 clovegarlic, grated or minced
-
salt and pepper, to taste

red pepper flakes, optional

1/4 cgrated parmesan
How To Make romanesco saute

1Heat oil in skillet. Add romanesco and onion. Stir fry until onion starts to wilt. Add garlic, sauté for an additional minute or two.

2Sprinkle with salt and pepper and red pepper flakes, if desired. Add parmesan, cover pan and turn off heat, so cheese can melt slightly.
