How To Make roasted asparagus
-
1Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Wash and dry your asparagus, then trim them. To trim, a tip is to take one asparagus spear and bend it until it breaks. The bottom piece is the tough woody part of the spear that you don't want. Use this test spear as a guide to trim the rest of the asparagus.
-
2In a medium bowl, drizzle the asparagus with the extra virgin olive oil and toss to coat. Spread the asparagus in a single layer on the baking sheet. Sprinkle with the minced garlic and the parmesan cheese. Sprinkle with kosher salt and black pepper to taste.
-
3Bake for 12-15 minutes. The Parmesan cheese will turn golden brown in spots when it is done. Just before serving, drizzle with lemon juice.
