I found this recipe on a package of shredded red cabbage. I use this recipe quite off as my go-to side dish. It complements any entree and goes to gather very fast.

Ingredients For red cabbage

8 ozshredded red cabbage

2 ccubed apple, unpeeled

2 Tbspbacon drippings
-
1/4 cpacked brown sugar

1/4 cvinegar

1/2 tspcaraway seed

1/4 cwater

1 1/4 tspsalt

dashpepper
How To Make red cabbage

1Heat bacon drippings in a skillet. Stir in brown sugar, vinegar, caraway seed, water, salt and pepper.

2Add shredded cabbage and apple. Stir until coated.

3Cover and cook 15 minutes for crisp cabbage, or 25 minutes for tender cabbage.
