Ingredients For potatoes and gravy with cheese

  • 4-6 lg
    potatoes
  • 1 can
    evaporated milk
  • 2-3 Tbsp
    butter, softened
  • 1-3 Tbsp
    corn starch
  • 2-3 Tbsp
    salt
  • 2-3 Tbsp
    pepper
  • 4-6 slice
    kraft cheese
  • 3/4 c
    water

How To Make potatoes and gravy with cheese

    Wash and peel potatoes. Slice in thick chunks
  • 2
    Place in pot. Cover with cold water Add salt
  • 3
    Bring to boil. Let cook till slightly softened. Drain potatoes from pan and place in casserole dish. Take slices of cheese and tear in pieces and cover potatoes with them.

    To the potato juice left in pot add pepper and butter . Bring to small rolling boil. Till butter is melted. In a small bowl mix together the cornstarch and water.

    To simmering potato juice add the can of milk. Let cook 2 minutes. Now take the cornstarch rue and slowly stir it in the juice till slightly thickened. Let cook 2 minutes. Pour over potatoes and cheese. Serve hot.
