Coleslaw is a popular side dish in the Bahamas. This one does not use mayo.

Ingredients For pineapple slaw

  • 2
    apples (red or green)
  • 2 Tbsp
    green peppers, chopped
  • 1 sm
    head white cabbage, shredded
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    vinegar
  • 4 Tbsp
    carrot, grated
  • 6 slice
    fresh pineapple

How To Make pineapple slaw

  • 1
    Core and chop unpeeled apples. Mix with green pepper and cabbage.

    Mix salt, sugar and vinegar until sugar is dissolved. Pour over cabbage mixture, sprinkle with carrot and top with pineapple.

    Serve immediately.
