I love peas and especially enjoy them with meat loaf. Here's a simple version that makes a great side dish.

Ingredients For peas and mushrooms

  • 2 10-oz pkg
    frozen peas
  • 2 c
    fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 c
    onions, chopped
  • 1/4 c
    butter
  • 1 tsp
    sugar
  • salt and pepper, to taste

How To Make peas and mushrooms

  • 1
    Cook peas according to package directions.
  • 2
    Meanwhile, in a skillet, saute mushrooms and onion in butter until onion is crisp-tender.
  • 3
    Drain peas and add to skillet along with the sugar, salt and pepper. Cover and cook until heated through.
