I am not a big fan of Asparagus, but this is delicious. My husband loved it. I served it with a hamburger steak.

1/4 call purpose flour

1/4 crefrigerated egg product or 1 egg, slightly beaten

3/4 cpanko bread crumbs

1/4 cgrated parmesan cheese

1/4 tspblack pepper

24 stalkspears fresh asparagus, trimmed. use fresh only
-
1recipe garlic dipping sauce.
- GARLIC DIPPING SAUCE (IN A SMALL BOWL COMBINE ALL INGREDIENTS BELOW)

1/4 ceach of mayonaide and plain fat free yogurt

2 Tbspsnipped fresh parsley
-
1 Tbspwhite wine vinegar
-
1 tspdijon mustard
-
1 cloveminced garlic
How To Make panko-parmesan asparagus/w garlic dipping sauce

1Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Coat a large baking sheet with Pam spray. Place flour in a shallow dish. Place beaten egg in a second dish. in a food processor combine panko, cheese, and pepper. Cover and pulse until fine. Transfer this to a third dish.

2Roll asparagus spears in flour, dip in egg, then roll in panko mixture to coat. Place 1/2 in. apart on baking sheet. Sprinkle with any remaining panko mixture and lightly coat with Pam.

3Bake 12- 15 minutes or until asparagus is tender and coating is golden brown. Serve warm with Garlic Dipping Sauce.
