Cabbage Lovers! The juice from the cabbage & other veggies gives this dish great flavor. Great vegetable side dish. You can make this vegetarian by leaving out the ham. Use any color bell pepper. I usually use green but red would taste wonderful. So good!

Ingredients For oven roasted cabbage

  • 1 sm
    head of cabbage, sliced
  • 1-2 stick
    carrots, chopped
  • 1-2 tsp
    chicken bouillon granules
  • dash
    red pepper flakes
  • 1 sm
    onion, sliced
  • 1
    bell pepper, sliced
  • ham chunks
  • butter to taste
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp
    tony chachere’s
  • 1-2
    garlic cloves, sliced
  • onion powder & garlic powder to taste
  • 3 Tbsp
    water

How To Make oven roasted cabbage

    Preheat oven to 375.
  • 2
    Combine all ingredients in a large pot with a lid. Cover.

    Cook for 40 minutes to an hour. Depends on how soft or crunchy you like your cabbage. Cabbage makes its own juices.

    Once cooked, add vinegar, optional.
