This dish is smothered in mozzarella, though not included in picture. I have served this as a main dish, as well, by adding lamb chunks and wine. Read recipe and enjoy!

Ingredients For mozzarella spaghetti squash casserole

  • 1
    spaghetti squash
  • oil for roasting
  • 1 tsp
    season salt for each half
  • 1/4 stick
    butter, cut in pieces
  • 1 Tbsp
    ground oregano
  • 1 Tbsp
    italian seasoning
  • white pepper to taste
  • 1 lb
    shredded mozzarella

How To Make mozzarella spaghetti squash casserole

    Take squash and cut in half. Remove seeds.
  • 2
    Rub squash with oil and sprinkle on season salt.

    Place in oven at 400F until tender.

    Allow to cool until able to be handled, with shred inside with a fork. Place all innards in the greased, square casserole dish.

    Add the butter and the seasoning. (I took a picture at this point and the finished picture did not save. I wasn't aware of this until it was eaten.)

    The sprinkle on cheese very thickly. Place in oven at 350F on the cheese is bubbling and achieving a golden brown.
